In this video, i practiced the song "Adantino" by J. Kuffner. There are actually two guitar players needed in this song. There is the melody and the chord, so i played them both. First, i played the notation, then i played the chords. There are not much major mistakes, unlike last time. Therefore, i am happy with this video practice today. I think that by practicing reading notations, my reading skills are trained, and i can read more accurately and faster. I think that i should practice more on reading notations, because this is very important to learn the classical guitar.

Today was the music written test. I thought that there will be no test today, because mr. Herry promised to give us the questions for our test. But then, i found out in the morning that mr. Herry decided not to give us the questions, because it will be then too easy. It was sent on around 9:45, but sadly, i already slept at that time. But i am ready for the notation and the history anyway. We started with watching a video of a jazz band. They practiced really hard. The band consist of trumpets, drums, and many more instruments. Then, we started the music test. First, there were questions about jazz music, and about my jazz type (bebop). Then, there was the notation part. we had to make scales (c major, for instance), then make the chords with the scale. We had 40 minutes to do the test, and i think that the time was too little. I had to do it quickly, so there was no time to double check. The questions about jazz was hard, because i think that the class was not told that there will be questions about jazz music, and i thought that it was only about our jazz type, which is bebop for me. I think that i did quite well in the test, even though i finished it at the last minute. I should be more prepared with upcoming tests, so that i could get a higher mark

Today, we had our singing assessment. We had to sing the song "I Got Rhythm". We had been practicing this song quite a while. We also had to memorize the lyrics. If we decide to bring the lyrics with us during the assessment, our score will be deducted, so i memorized it. When i performed, i decided to be expressive, so that i could get a higher score on the expression part. Because i was too focused on the expression, my voice becomes out of tune, and i got switched on the lyrics. it was supposed to be "i don't mind him" first, but instead, i sad "you won't find him" first. It was a catastrophe. I was also very nervous at that time. It was embarrassing when i made that mistake. I was also very not satisfied with the score, which is 8.5. I know it is because of the lyric mistake i made. Even kevin who did not move/dance got 9, so i learned that i should not focus on expression next time. I also should not be nervous in the coming assessments, so that i will not make any more mistakes. I should start study on my jazz type (bebop), and study scales and making chords (7th, major 7, minor 7, 9, 11) for the upcoming music test.

Today, i am practicing my notation reading skills. In this video, i played "Etude", and "Gallop" from a Yamaha classic guitar textbook. I think that my reading skills are getting better, because i began to play more accurate, and faster. before, i have to always stop to know if i do not know what the note is, and there will be a whole lot of mistakes. there are still mistakes and stopping, but it is way better than before, so i am quite happy with this video. I will have to practice notation readings more, because this is very important in learning the classical guitar.

Today, we get into our old jazz groups (bebop), and compile the bebop questions that we all made for the quiz on next tuesday. We also practiced "I got Rythm" song. Different jazz groups get to go in front of the class, and sing the "I Got Rythm" song. The group who is in the front of the class will be also asked about the compiled questions that they have made earlier in the class. I think that me and my group did well, because we sang well, and we could answer all the compiled questions that we have made. I was also attentive in the class. I think that i should practice more on singing the song, and i should prepare for the quiz next tuesday. I need to study the history of bebop, notation, and music analysis

I started the video blog task today. In this video, i focused on my tremolo. I tried to play Romance De Amor with tremolo, so that i can practice tremolo with a song, so it will not be boring. I think that it was horrible. I need to slow down a little bit. I need to focus more on the technique, not the speed. Mr john also said that to me. I am too excited to learn tremolo, so i was playing fast. Next time, i should play it more slow, and focus on the technique, not the speed

Today was the first day of our music class. We did a lot of activities today, such as notation review, and we also received my project week booklet, and the music booklet about bebop music with the scores in them. I was quite satisfied, but i think that i missed a mark just because i have no colored picture is very silly, but i am happy that i got most A's for the project week booklet. Also today, we are given clues about what we are going to learn this term, and we are also informed that we will have a group performance with 4 different instruments in a group. The group has been divided in the class, and i am quite satisfied with the group members. I doing good in the class, because i was very attentive. I hope that i can do this term better than before, and i hope that i can work with my group cooperatively, so we will achieve our goal, and get as best score as possible.
